Flowers are an important part of a wedding day. A lovely bouquet that you take down the aisle, your groom wearing a pretty bloom in his buttonhole and your venue decorated with garlands and sprays to create a magical day. You can take your chosen flowers one step further though, and incorporate them into your overall bridal look – weaving them through your hairstyle to add a touch of floral glamour.

Whether you want to add fresh flowers from your bouquet, or faux flowers to keep as a memento, there are so many ways that you can achieve the look you want. We’ve chosen just a few – let us know if any stick out to you and we can have a conversation about your special day!

Create A Flower Crown

Flower crowns are a beautiful way to wear flowers in your bridal hairstyle. The good thing about flower crowns is that they can not only be created beforehand and added to the hairstyle at the last minute, but you can also take them off easily and not be worried about your hairstyle coming out. A flower crown looks amazing with simple boho wedding hair, wavy and relaxed.

Scattered Through A Braid

Boho plaits and braids are trending bridal looks and look so pretty with flowers scattered through the hairstyle. Use versatile blooms such as baby’s breath (gypsophila) to place through your braid at certain points, creating a beautifully accessorised style.

Accent Your Updo

Add the finishing touch to your bridal updo with a floral hairpiece or hair comb. These can be real flowers from your bouquet that have been woven through, or you could use faux flowers to ensure that they don’t wilt throughout the day, especially if you’re getting married during summer!

Romantic Floral Half-Up

All you need to do to spruce up a half-up wedding hair style is to add some blooms. You can go all out and add actual buds from your chosen wedding flowers. You can also keep it subtle with some light greenery such as ferns or eucalyptus. Even without a veil, a half-up style with flowers says ‘boho bride’ and will complete your wedding style.

What do you think about the styles above? Are you ready to embrace your inner flower child for your wedding?
